Dear Celeste,
How to get more done in less time?!
Welcome to our June newsletter where we supply you with useful information about your software and computer.

This month topics:
|
1. Flip-book
This month I came across a funny and great tool. You can create a flip-book out of your own images.
A flip-book means that you have a realistic looking book on your screen and by “turning” the pages with your mouse you actually can go through the whole book.
As you know me, I’ve used this right away for my e-Book “Master Your Inbox” and here is the result. Have a look yourself and send it on to your friends. I am sure 97% of your correspondence have never seen something like it.
If you are interested to create your own flip-book let me know I am more than happy to support you. Or you invest ca. AU$ 50 in the cool software package and do it yourself.

2. Online Back-up - a true story
Last month we wrote about Online Backup and the response was again mind blowing. We thought it might be beneficial for you to elaborate this topic a little bit more.
Interestingly enough, about a week ago one of our clients, her name is Rose, called us, because her laptop didn’t work. It just refused to start. My first question to her was, “when did you last saved your data?”. “Last Friday” was her response and Rose thought she had done everything alright. But when I’ve asked her whether she’d included her Outlook data in the Backup she confessed that she didn’t. At this stage Rose was devastated, because her work is to a large extend depending on in- and outgoing emails.
Can you feel the pressure on Rose? It does not have to be a fire or a thief that destroyed your computer a simple malfunction can have a dramatic impact on you business.
So I ended up comforting Rose and we phoned our hardware specialist to cross-check her laptop. I can tell you, in the end everyone was happy, because only the power supply was defect and after exchanging that part Rose’s laptop started normal and she was back on top.
Imagine what would happen in your business, if one day you can’t start your computer for whatsoever reason. Can you be relaxed and say “well let’s exchange the hardware and restore programs and data”? Or would you bounce your head against the next wall saying “if only, if only”?
My tip for you is very simple, inexpensive and secure: sign up for the 4GB online-backup solution and get your precious data saved every day – automatically. How good is that?
After her experience I didn’t need to convince Rose to take on the online-backup and she is very happy and never have to care about this part anymore. And of course Rose’s Outlook-data are included in the online-backup – automatically.
Celeste, do it like Rose and sign up for the ComputerMaster Online Backup before your computer falters.

3. Shortcuts of the month
Do you want to learn more and increase your productivity by up to 30%?
For this month we want to concentrate on keyboard shortcuts
to navigate quick and effortless in Microsoft® Internet Explorer®.
|
Function key [F6]
|
Selects the address bar so that you can start typing straight away to select the next website your want to visit.
|
|
Ctrl + F
|
Allows you to search on the particular website for a word or expression.
Very useful if you want to find a specific keyword on an convoluted website.
|
|
Ctrl + P
|
Opens the Print-menu.
I often times select only a particular paragraph or section on a website for printing.
All you have to do is then press Ctrl+P and choose "Selection" as for the print area.
Otherwise you end up printing pages and pages for just a little piece of information.
|
Please try these out – we know how powerful these simple tricks are, because they can save you valuable time – each day. Have fun with it – it’s easy!
You might as well print these shortcuts and keep them close to your keyboard to learn one shortcut at a time. It is worth the effort.

I have just used tips No 2 and 13 which will save me hours every month. Also I agree with you in tip 35, I learned that lesson the hard way and lost a big client because I didn’t understand that rule! Not knowing that tip cost me $ thousands.
I love the way you’ve used pictures in the book it makes life very easy for non-techy people like me. It also means I can delegate much of this to my PA. Great work Jurgen.”
Howard Tinker - Lifetools.com.au
“Jurgen, the Master Your Inbox course is brilliant! Tip 4 alone has justified the cost of the course…and Tip 53 has resolved a long term, time consuming problem. Everyone should use this stuff!”
Glen Rothquel - Capital 4 Business
“Just want to let you know Tip 4 has revolutionised my inbox! Thanks Jurgen”
Paul Jones – Magneto P/L

“I attended Jurgen’s workshop on how to save time using your computers including learning a better way to handle your emails.
